Digital Engineering & Asset Information

Building information that earns its place in the project.

Unstructured records and outdated drawings make engineering harder. We organise mechanical information around a clear purpose: design, coordination, maintenance or handover.

THE REQUIREMENT

When clients bring us in.

  • Asset information is scattered across photographs and spreadsheets.
  • Drawings need updating to support a refurbishment.
  • A project needs a consistent mechanical information package.

THE ENGINEERING

What we can help with.

  • Mechanical drawings and schematics
  • BIM coordination and defined model inputs
  • Structured mechanical asset registers
  • Existing information review and gap analysis
  • Survey-to-record workflows
  • Record drawing and handover information support

THE OUTPUT

Know what you’ll receive.

The exact package is agreed in your proposal. Typical deliverables include:

Information requirements

An agreed purpose, format, naming convention and level of information.

Drawings & model inputs

Mechanical information developed to the agreed scope and verification level.

Asset register

Consistent identifiers and attributes linked to available evidence.

Handover record

A clear account of sources, verification status and information gaps.

GETTING STARTED

A useful first conversation.

Tell us who will use the information and for what decision. Share existing files, required formats and any project information standards.

We review the requirement, identify missing inputs and agree a scope, fee and programme before work begins.

A model is only as reliable as its verified inputs. We label unverified information and do not imply that a desktop update is a measured survey. Model authoring scope and software compatibility are agreed before appointment.

How we approach the engineering

Your questions, answered.

Can you start with incomplete records?

Yes. We first identify useful sources and gaps. A targeted survey may be needed to verify critical information.

What does an asset register contain?

Typically an identifier, location, equipment type, available manufacturer details, observed condition and evidence references. The required fields depend on its intended use.

Are as-built drawings independently verified?

Only where site verification is included. Records prepared from contractor mark-ups are identified as such.

Have a project in mind?

Let’s find the right next step.

Tell us what you’re working on, what you need and when you need it.
